Privacy

The short version: We do not collect, receive, or store your matter data. The tools save everything locally in your own browser (IndexedDB) and generate documents on your device. If you subscribe to Pro, we handle only your email (for sign-in) and your subscription through Stripe for billing — never your matter data. The only other information that reaches us is what you choose to type into the contact form.

Your matter data stays on your device

The tools on this site (mapping your situation, the incident log, mediation prep, and the affidavit builder) save everything locally in your own browser, using your device's storage (IndexedDB). This includes any evidence files you attach — they are stored only on your device and are never uploaded. This information is never transmitted to us or to any server, and we never see it, collect it, or store it. Documents are generated on your device.

Because the data lives only on your device, if you clear your browser data, use private/incognito browsing, or switch devices, it will not be there. Use the Export button to save a backup file (which you can optionally password-protect), and keep it somewhere safe.

The contact form

The only information that ever reaches us is what you choose to type into the optional contact form (your name, email, and message). We use that solely to reply to you. It is delivered by email through our email provider. Please do not put sensitive details about your matter, your children, or the other party into the contact form.

Your account and payments (Pro)

If you create an account or subscribe to Help For Dads Pro, we handle a small amount of information for billing and access only — never your matter data:

  • Your email address, used to sign you in (via a magic link) and to identify your subscription. We store it in an encrypted, sign-in session in your browser.
  • Subscription and payment details are handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects and stores your payment information under its own privacy terms; we do not receive or store your full card details. We can see your subscription status (active, cancelled) and billing history through Stripe.
  • Sign-in links and any account emails are delivered through our email provider (Resend).

Your account is deliberately separate from your matter data. Subscribing does not change where your matter data lives — it always stays on your device, as described above.

Analytics

On our public information pages we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that count visits without identifying you and without tracking you across sites. We do not run any analytics or third-party scripts on the tool pages or legal pages — the pages where you enter personal information.

No selling or sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your information. There are no advertising trackers on this site.

Children

This site is intended for adults dealing with parenting matters. It is not directed at children.
