Terms of Use
Last updated: 16 July 2026
By using Help For Dads (the "site"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What the site is
The site provides general legal information and self-help tools to help you organise your own information about a parenting matter. It is not legal advice, it is not a substitute for a lawyer, and using it does not create a lawyer–client relationship. See our Disclaimer.
2. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for how you use anything you produce.
- You will obtain independent legal advice before relying on any information or document from the site.
- You will confirm current court forms, rules, and deadlines directly with the Court.
- You will use the site lawfully and not misuse it.
3. No warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, currency, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Help For Dads and its creators are not liable for any loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss) arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or anything produced with it. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law; where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
5. Your data
The tools store your information locally on your device, not on our servers. You are responsible for backing up and safeguarding your own data and any exported backup files. See our Privacy page.
6. Intellectual property
The site's content and branding are owned by Help For Dads or its licensors. Documents you generate from your own information are yours to use.
7. External links
The site links to third-party sites (such as fcfcoa.gov.au). We are not responsible for the content or availability of those sites.
8. Changes
We may update the site and these terms from time to time. Continued use means you accept the current terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
